Nature Special Conference | Breaking Barriers: Global Collaboration in Translational Research

2024/04/30

Despite huge growth in the amount of basic medical research being conducted globally, only a small fraction of fundamental discoveries translates into clinical therapies and developments that improve people’s health.

It’s a complex journey from the bench to bedside, requiring close collaboration between researchers, healthcare professionals and partners in industry, but also across national boundaries. Global collaboration will foster knowledge exchange and promote real advancements at the level of individual projects, but more importantly across the entire field to solve long-term bottlenecks and minimize unnecessary duplication of efforts.

In this conference, we will bring together researchers from the world's leading translational research institution. By exploring partnerships and ways of collaborating across different regions, we will identify best practices that drives innovation in translational science.
